Prof. Dr. Verena König
Professor of Marketing and Brand Management at the DHBW Mannheim
As a professor of marketing I work intensively on developing and maintaining brands. The idea of one day creating my very own brand has been my dream since childhood.
This dream came true in September last year, with the presentation of the award-winning confectionary ‘MOZART-LIEBCHEN’ in the antiques gallery of Mannheim Baroque Palace.
MOZART-LIEBCHEN are a hommage to Mozart’s stay in Mannheim in 1777, where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart fell in love for the first time in his life. In 1777, he showed his affection for coloratura soprano Aloisia Weber, the older sister of his future wife, Constanze.
I am proud of the MOZART-LIEBCHEN and that they have been well received in Mannheim so quickly.
The product’s success is not only down to the first-class and unique logo, flyer and packaging design: The visual appearance leaves nothing to be desired and fits in perfectly with the city of Mannheim’s. Historical but not dusty (Mannheim is not Vienna or Salzburg), old and yet “cool”, of high value and classy.
I would like to thank my friends at 3AM Design. They understood how to perfectly implement my ideas. Collaboration was and is pleasant, uncomplicated and a lot of fun.
Implementing the existing corporate design concept of MOZART-LIEBCHEN with the aim of powerfully communicating the exclusivity and value of the product. Optimising the word-image brand (seal) and word brand MOZART-LIEBCHEN.
Flyer design based on a basic visual concept (logo, typography and colour concept) as well as text and images supplied.
Optimization of the bag’s overall appearance through font style (large, bold, wide and position) as well as size and order of elements within the format to be chosen (logo/seal, text elements, key visuals)
